While watching planet of the Apes the planet they were on seemed very familiar. At first I thought it was just because that is where they filmed it but as the movie progressed to the end I was in shock that they were on Earth 2000 years later. I also felt like the movie could have gone further when he saw the Statue of Liberty. I also noticed that the Apes spoke common English and that he could actually talk to them. Although this was a problem of film production in which the viewer would not be able to understand the movie if the apes spoke a different language.
